Migration from the Geometric Network to the Utility Network
Utilities have a lot invested in their ArcGIS Desktop environments, especially with their connectivity networks, interfaces to external systems like Oracle and SAP, and customized workflows for their ArcGIS. We can help with migrations from ArcMap to ArcGIS/Pro but providing streamlined training and moving your GIS data from the Geometric Network to either the Trace Network or the Utility Network. We'll use your same database schema if you choose to move to the Trace Network, and we can convert your existing ArcGIS data to the new schema provided with the Utility Network. We also have tools that can validate and cleanse your existing Geometric Network data to prepare it for the Utility Network.
Custom ArcGIS Software Development
We develop custom tools ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and Esri AppStudio. These tools can enhance your GIS user's experience by improving productivity and adding functionality to your GIS environment, as well as integrating your GIS with your other enterprise systems. These tools are developed with open software technology based around Microsoft Visual Studio and can be developed in your preference of languages, such as VB.NET or C#. The ArcPad development uses ESRI ArcPad Developer tools.
Database Design
Implementing an ESRI Enterprise System requires a database design be completed prior to loading data from other systems or for entering data manually. We can design your electric, gas, water or wastewater geodatabase based on your needs. Starting with one of the
ESRI-supplied standard data models or from a blank sheet, we can examine your data
requirements and application requirements and design a model that fits into your organization. Documents like Visio Diagrams are created to show the logical model
of your database, and after it's accepted, physical models, in the form of Esri
geodatabases can be generated, making the database environment ready for use.
Data Conversion
We have significant experience converting data from CAD systems and other GIS environments to ArcGIS. Regardless of the data source, our conversion process takes into consideration all of the issues that can pop up during data migration. Items like spatial projection conversions, mapping of source data graphics and attributes to the appropriate ESRI data model, associating text on the maps with the appropriate GIS features, creation
of feature-linked annotation and rule-based snapping of appropriate devices together
for the network trace models
Native iOS and Android GIS Apps
Using Esri's AppStudio development environment, we've developed several custom solutions that run natively on iOS and Android devices. These apps can have custom forms and behaviors, as well as consume ArcGIS Enterprise Web Services, either on your Portal or ArcGIS Online.
